Joia Beach sits on Watson Island, a small strip of land between Downtown Miami and South Beach, directly on Biscayne Bay. The property opened in 2020 and operates as a restaurant, lounge, and beach club within the same space, running from midday through late evening. The location keeps it removed from the Ocean Drive crowd while staying close to the city, with unobstructed views of the Miami skyline and bay. Condé Nast Traveler has listed it among the best beaches in Miami.
The venue is divided into three areas. The restaurant operates under a palapa structure with sand-side seating and full table service. The lounge sits adjacent to the shoreline with daybeds and loungers, a $100 per person minimum spend, and direct access to cocktail and food service. The beach club extends to the waterline with plush chairs, cabanas, and shoreline service. DJ programming runs throughout the day and transitions into a more produced evening format as the sun sets over the bay.
The culinary program is led by chefs Gustavo and Maximiliano Vertone, with a menu built around European technique and fresh seasonal ingredients. The offering includes a raw bar, fresh-caught seafood, prime cuts, and shareable plates. The cocktail list is handcrafted and rotates with the season. Music runs daily with resident DJs and rotating live entertainment. The venue has hosted brand activations for Moët and Chandon, Michael Kors, and F1 Grand Prix weekend packages.
