Playroom is the underground indoor club within the Soho Garden Meydan complex, positioned as the most intimate venue in the compound. The format is strictly music-first: no elaborate production shows, no bottle service culture, no elevated VIP setup. The space is designed around the dancefloor, with a sound system calibrated for the underground House and Techno programming it runs consistently. During summer months, when the outdoor areas of Soho Garden scale back, Playroom becomes the primary active venue of the complex.
The programming covers Deep House, Progressive House, and Melodic Techno. Artists who have performed at Playroom include Dubfire, Fiona Kraft, Space Motion, Zenon, TH;EN, Philipp Straub, and Marino Canal. The booking profile reflects the melodic underground direction of the broader Soho Garden Meydan programming, with a focus on extended sets and a crowd that follows the artists. Doors open at 10pm with the energy building progressively through to the early hours.
The space is compact and intentionally so. The underground aesthetic, combined with high-level visuals and sound, creates a contained environment where the music dominates. The crowd arrives in casual attire and the door policy reflects that: there is no enforced formal dress code. Entry pricing is event-dependent and generally accessible, with free entry available for ladies and couples before midnight on select nights. Reservation is recommended for high-profile bookings.
