Roberto's opened in 2012 at Gate Village 1 in the DIFC, establishing itself as one of Dubai's most enduring Italian restaurants over more than a decade of operation. In January 2026 the venue relaunched following a full redesign, introducing a new concept inspired by Milan across three distinct spaces: the main dining room, a contemporary Italian environment built for long lunches and evening dining; Scala, a mid-century inspired room with operatic references and intimate layout designed for cocktails and closer conversation; and Giardino, an open-air terrace for daytime meals and quieter moments. The culinary identity blends Roman devotion to food with Venetian hospitality and Milanese style, producing what the venue describes as a homegrown reinterpretation of Italian cuisine.
The main dining room operates with a rhythm that transitions naturally from lunch through to the late-night hours, with the venue remaining open until 03:00 daily. Live music is a consistent feature of the Roberto's experience, with the Gipsy Kings noted as a brunch performer and live entertainment cited across multiple reviews as a defining element of the atmosphere. The crowd draws from the DIFC's professional and international circuit, with regulars who treat Roberto's as a consistent reference point rather than an occasional destination. The three-space layout allows the venue to serve simultaneously as a restaurant, a lounge, and a social environment depending on the hour and the preference of the guest.
The menu covers contemporary Italian cuisine across antipasti, pasta, risotto, fish, and meat, with signature references including tuna tartare, pistachio ice cream with olive oil, and a wine list described across reviews as world-renowned. The Friday and Saturday brunch format incorporates live entertainment as a central element of the service. Valet parking covers the first three hours free of charge, with complimentary self-parking available from 18:00 to 23:00. The kitchen operates from midday through to 03:00, accommodating late-night dining alongside the standard lunch and dinner service.
