BAK' operates in Tulum's Hotel Zone as a fire-based steakhouse with a raw bar running alongside the main kitchen. Owned by Grupo Anderson's, the restaurant centers its format around open-fire cooking, premium cut selection, and fresh seafood. The evening includes the Cha'an Ka'ak fire show, a performance rooted in Mayan tradition that runs nightly and is built into the overall dining experience rather than treated as a separate event.
The space is open-air, set within a jungle environment with natural materials and wooden accents throughout. Tables are positioned beneath trees, with the kitchen visible from the dining room. The atmosphere shifts as the evening progresses, moving from a composed dinner setting to a more energized environment once the fire show begins. The format works for both couples and larger groups.
The kitchen focuses on premium beef cuts and fresh seafood, prepared over open fire. The raw bar runs independently alongside the main menu, offering oysters, clams, and additional seafood options. The cocktail program incorporates local ingredients and jungle-forward flavor profiles. Service is structured and attentive, with a sommelier available for wine and mezcal guidance.
