Basement operates on the ground floor of The Miami Beach Edition at 2901 Collins Avenue, a multi-dimensional nightlife venue that combines a nightclub, a four-lane bowling alley, and a 2,000 square foot indoor ice skating rink under a single roof. The concept was developed as a 21st-century reference to Ian Schrager's Studio 54, with state-of-the-art sound and a lighting and projection system designed by Patrick Woodroffe, known for his work with the Rolling Stones and U2. The nightclub section is currently operating for private events while regular programming is temporarily paused.
The nightclub floor runs weekend DJ programming with rotating resident and guest talent across house, techno, and hip-hop. The sound system and lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe define the production quality of the space, with immersive LED projections and color-changing installations throughout. The bowling alley features interactive lighting synchronized with play, and the ice skating rink operates with its own sound and light show. Each of the three spaces functions independently while sharing the same floor and bar program.
Entry is open to guests 21 and over after 9PM, strictly enforced. The format is intimate relative to Miami's larger clubs, with table service and bottle program as the primary access model on peak nights. The crowd skews toward Edition hotel guests and a selective outside clientele. The scale of the venue keeps the atmosphere controlled and consistent with the hotel's overall standard. Private event bookings are available for full venue or individual spaces.
