Buddha-Bar Beach Mykonos opened in 2015 as the first Buddha-Bar Beach in the world, positioned above the private beach of Santa Marina Resort & Villas in Ornos Bay. The venue operates as the Aegean interpretation of the global Buddha-Bar concept, combining the brand's signature atmosphere with a beachfront setting overlooking the bay. It runs daily from 1PM through 1AM, with a split between a relaxed afternoon dining format and a more produced evening experience as the DJ programming takes over at sunset. Reservations are required and the venue is open to non-resort guests.
The setting sits directly above Santa Marina's private beach, with unobstructed views of Ornos Bay and the Aegean Sea from every position. The design follows the Buddha-Bar aesthetic of dim lighting, exotic decor, and an atmosphere that balances sophistication with energy. The crowd is consistently upscale, drawing both resort guests and outside visitors looking for a controlled, high-quality evening in a quieter part of the island. Ornos is one of the more sheltered and family-oriented areas of Mykonos, which keeps the overall tone calmer than the venues on the northern coast.
The kitchen runs Asian fusion and Mediterranean cuisine across the full service window. Lunch and afternoon dining centers on Mediterranean-influenced dishes with Asian technique, including sushi signature rolls, deep-fried calamari, and fresh seafood. As the evening progresses, the menu shifts toward Pacific Rim cuisine with a stronger Asian profile, incorporating Japanese, Chinese, and Thai influences alongside Wagyu beef fillet and seafood curries.
