Cavo Paradiso opened in 1993 on a clifftop above Paradise Beach, founded by Nikos Daktylides with the vision of creating a club away from the urban circuit, taking full advantage of the natural setting of the Aegean coastline. The venue is regularly listed in the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs globally and is widely regarded as one of the most architecturally and experientially significant club formats in the world. The centerpiece is an open-air dance floor built around a full-sized swimming pool shaped like the island of Mykonos, positioned on the edge of a 100-foot cliff with uninterrupted 360-degree views of the Aegean Sea and the historic island of Delos on the horizon. The structure integrates local stone, terracotta tiles, and whitewashed walls to feel like a natural extension of the cliffside rather than an imposed building. The venue operates daily from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM throughout the summer season.
The music program covers house, deep house, afro house, techno, trance, and EDM, with a programming philosophy that balances globally recognized headline acts with underground-credentialed artists. The resident DJ team covers the season's regular programming, with the international guest calendar drawing from the upper tier of the global DJ circuit. Past headliners include David Guetta, Tiësto, Richie Hawtin, Armin Van Buuren, Marco Carola, Sven Väth, Black Coffee, Nina Kraviz, and Steve Aoki. The custom-built JBL Dance 5/3 sound system drives the open-air format, with CO2 and confetti cannon production integrated into peak set moments. The dance floor reaches peak energy around 1:45 AM and sustains through sunrise.
The venue is accessible by bus from Fabrika station in Mykonos Town, by taxi, or by car with complimentary valet parking. A sushi bar operates within the venue for guests who want food service during the night. VIP Area 100 provides an elevated section with premium sightlines over the stage and dance floor. Cover charge runs approximately €25. Bottles run from €500 to €600. Cocktails from €15 to €25. The venue is wheelchair accessible with a dedicated bathroom. No strict dress code applies beyond the prohibition of swimwear.
