Hakkasan Dubai operates within The Avenues at Atlantis The Palm, as part of the global Hakkasan group founded in London in 2001. The Dubai venue holds one Michelin star in the 2025 Michelin Guide Dubai and has accumulated multiple awards including Time Out Best Chinese Restaurant, BBC Good Food Best Asian Restaurant, and the World of Fine Wine World's Best Wine Lists Star Award. The kitchen is led by Chef Andy Toh, whose menu follows the Hakkasan format of contemporary Cantonese cuisine built on traditional techniques and premium ingredients, combined with an Only At Dubai collection of exclusive dishes created specifically for this location. The venue covers a main restaurant, bar, lounge, and private dining room, with the bar operating independently until 02:00 h nightly.
The interior is designed around Hakkasan's signature aesthetic of carved wooden lattice screens, backlit blue glass, and a moody, dimly lit setting that creates a club-like atmosphere within a fine dining format. The Michelin Guide describes the venue as delivering "a fun night out" with smooth service and a party soundtrack. The best seating is in the booths to the side of the lounge, adjacent to the back-lit blue bar. The crowd is international and draws from both hotel guests at Atlantis The Palm and the broader Dubai dining circuit. The music level runs high by fine dining standards, which is a noted characteristic of the Hakkasan format globally.
The menu covers contemporary Cantonese cuisine across dim sum, seafood, meat, and vegetable preparations alongside Hakkasan signature dishes available across the global network. Dubai exclusives include lychee lobster with yuzu pearl and Assam seafood toban. Other standouts include jasmine tea-smoked Wagyu short rib braised for four hours in aromatic spices, A5 Saroma Wagyu from Hokkaido wok-seared with spicy tangerine sauce, certified MSC seabass with organic UAE honey and sour plum broth, and a full dim sum selection. The Friday brunch runs from 12:00 to 16:00 h. The wine program holds the World of Fine Wine Star Award, with a list covering Chinese and international labels. The cocktail program is managed by world-class mixologists with a dedicated creative menu.
