Nikolas Taverna has operated on Agia Anna Beach since 1967, now in its third generation under the same family. The property sits on a quiet stretch of coast on the walking path between Platis Gialos and Paraga, removed from the main hotel zone strip. The owner Nikolas and his son fish personally, with much of the daily catch coming directly from the surrounding Aegean waters. Meat and vegetables are sourced from the family farm. The venue runs daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and can accommodate up to 220 guests across tables set on the sand and under tamarisk trees. A family chapel on the adjacent property can host weddings and baptisms.

The setting is deliberately unpretentious. Rustic wooden tables, whitewashed walls, and natural tree cover define the space, with the Aegean accessible steps from the dining area. The atmosphere is calm and removed from the energy of the larger beach clubs nearby, making it a consistent choice for guests seeking authentic Greek hospitality over production. The location on the path between beaches means it attracts both walkers and guests arriving specifically for the kitchen's reputation. Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity.

The kitchen runs traditional Greek seafood and taverna cuisine anchored entirely in daily fresh sourcing. Standout dishes include fresh snapper, grilled octopus, steamed mussels, sea urchin, fried fish, louza (traditional Mykonian cold cut), local sausages, moussaka, gemista, lamb chops, rib eye, and souvlaki. Vegetables including beets are harvested the same day from the family land. The menu covers Greek salads, hot and cold mezes, and classic desserts including baklava and cheesecake. Craft beers, house wines, and cocktails complete the beverage program.
