Sirene Beach by GAIA opened in early 2025 at J1 Beach in Jumeirah 1, created by Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani of Fundamental Hospitality, the same partnership behind GAIA DIFC, which ranks No. 33 in Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants 2026. Spanning over 9,000 square metres, Sirene is the world's largest beach club, with a 400-seat indoor-outdoor restaurant, multiple bars, a temperature-controlled swimming pool, 300 sunbeds and cabanas, and a Sunset Lounge anchored around a DJ booth. The design was executed by London-based studio First Within, shortlisted for the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2025 in the Alfresco and Biophilic Design and Luxury categories. The venue received the FACT Favourite Beach Club in Dubai Award 2025 within months of opening. Clientele in its first year has included Jennifer Lopez, Ronaldinho, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The design channels the Aegean through pared-back tones of sand and white, offset with soft blues, bleached woods, and sculptural stone, with flowing bougainvillea and natural fabrics throughout. The space transitions seamlessly from the restaurant to the pool and beach areas, creating distinct environments for different paces and moments of the day. The Beach and Pool zones provide a relaxed daytime setting, while the DJ-adjacent Restaurant Terrace and Sunset Lounge build toward a more vibrant evening format. At the centre of the restaurant sits the only fish sommelier in Dubai, who guides guests through a daily fresh seafood market display and recommends preparations based on the day's catch. Live bands perform in the evenings, echoing what ladyleadmag.com describes as the charm of coastal Mediterranean nights. Reservations are essential throughout the week.

The kitchen reflects Chef Izu Ani's culinary philosophy of simplicity, purity of flavour, and seasonal sourcing, anchored in authentic Greek and Mediterranean cooking. Signatures from GAIA are carried over alongside Sirene-specific creations including Rooster Pasta, Sirene Dakos, and a dedicated Caviar and Oyster experience. The seafood market allows guests to choose their preferred fish or shellfish and specify their preparation. The cocktail program covers Mediterranean-inspired builds and classics across the beach, pool, and lounge areas. Music during the day runs as curated Balearic and ambient programming, evolving through the afternoon into a livelier register as the sun drops, with live bands taking over for the evening.
