Carine opened at Emirates Golf Club in Emirates Hills in 2018, under the culinary direction of Chef Izu Ani, one of Dubai's most recognised restaurateurs. The restaurant operates on the first floor of the club with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the golf course and the Dubai skyline, and an expansive terrace that extends the setting outdoors. In eight years of operation, Carine has built a reputation as one of the city's most consistent French-Mediterranean venues, receiving the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award 2025 and the Bordeaux Wine List of the Year UAE 2025 from Star Wine List. A sister restaurant, Eunoia by Carine, operates at the Hyatt Centric in Jumeirah 1.
The dining room combines modern decor with an unpretentious French sensibility, well-spaced tables, comfortable chairs, and large windows that bring the golf course views into the indoor setting. The terrace is consistently described across reviews as one of the strongest outdoor dining options in the city, particularly in the evening when the Dubai skyline illuminates behind the course. The atmosphere is relaxed and intentional, notably quieter than the city's more Instagram-driven venues. Live singers perform on weekend evenings, adding a measured entertainment component without overriding the character of the room. The venue works equally well for romantic dinners, business lunches, and extended group gatherings.
The kitchen is led by Chef Izu Ani with a clear focus on French technique applied to Mediterranean ingredients, particularly seafood. Starters include oysters with shallot, cucumber and pickled apple, lobster salad with yuzu dressing, snails with parsley butter, grilled prawns with harissa sauce, anchovies and yellowtail carpaccio, tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, tart flambée with caramelised onions, and burrata. Mains cover lobster linguine, sea bass with fennel, short ribs, pasta, and grills across a menu designed for sharing. Signature desserts include the passionfruit cheesecake and the Christmas Crumble, a seasonal reference. The wine list holds the Bordeaux Wine List of the Year UAE 2025 recognition, with a particularly diverse by-the-glass offering managed through Coravin.
