El Chiringuito sits directly on Es Cavallet beach, within the Salinas Nature Park on Ibiza's southeast coast. Open since 2009, the restaurant operates across a covered terrace, beach loungers, and a dedicated children's area. The setting is built around natural materials, open views toward Formentera and Dalt Vila, and a pace that is structured without being rigid. Recognised by Elite Traveler in 2025 as one of the world's top dining destinations.
The environment is relaxed and well-organised. Wooden furniture, linen canopies, and an open beach setup create a setting that works equally well for a long lunch or a late afternoon table. A resident DJ runs sets throughout the day, keeping the atmosphere measured. The crowd is international and tends toward families and groups who prioritise quality of experience over spectacle.
The kitchen is led by Chef Jérôme Palayer, whose French background shapes a menu rooted in Mediterranean ingredients. Fresh produce is sourced from Farm Agricultural Lab in San Miguel, 12 kilometres from the restaurant. Standouts include grilled sea bass, crab spaghettini, oysters, burrata, and herb-infused oak-grilled cuts. The bar covers cocktails, rosé, champagne, and fresh juices from early morning through sunset.
