Kitchen Table has been operating in Tulum's Hotel Zone since 2015, positioned on the jungle side of Carretera Boca Paila. The restaurant runs entirely on solar power, with an open kitchen built around a wood-burning grill and brick oven that is fully visible from every table in the dining room. The menu is seasonal and changes based on market availability, developed around locally sourced ingredients with technique rooted in Mexican and French cooking traditions. A five-course tasting menu with cocktail pairing runs alongside the à la carte format.
The space is open-air, set within the jungle canopy with natural wood finishes and low ambient lighting. The open kitchen is the visual and operational center of the restaurant, giving the format an intimate quality where the cooking process is part of the experience. The atmosphere is composed and quiet compared to most restaurants on the beach road, focused on the food and conversation rather than entertainment. The dining room accommodates up to 50 guests for dinner service.
The menu rotates with seasonal availability, with recurring highlights including jungle bread, short rib, tetelas, tostada, sea bass, and the Gorillaz dessert. The cocktail program is developed in-house using local aromatics and traditional ingredients including Pox and mezcal. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available throughout. The tasting menu pairs five courses with half-cocktails and represents the most complete way to experience the kitchen's range. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff who explain each dish and cocktail in detail.
