Nobu Dubai opened in 2008 on the 22nd floor of Atlantis The Palm, as part of the global Nobu restaurant network founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper. The Dubai venue underwent a full renovation in 2023, designed by Rockwell in New York and Edge Architects in Dubai, and was personally commended by chef Nobu as the best Nobu restaurant internationally. The restaurant holds recognition in the Michelin Guide Dubai 2025, the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award 2025, and Time Out Dubai's Best Japanese Restaurant 2025. The space covers a 21,500 square foot interior with curved wicker panels, sleek contemporary decor, subtle lighting, and an open-air terrace with panoramic views over The Palm and the Arabian Gulf. Nobu has since expanded in Dubai with Nobu By The Beach at Atlantis The Royal and Nobu One Za'abeel at The Link, which opened in January 2026.
The dining room combines the brand's signature Japanese aesthetic with the scale and ambition of Dubai's most prominent resort address. A resident DJ runs sets throughout dinner service, keeping the atmosphere social and energetic without overriding the character of the room. The terrace provides an outdoor setting with direct views over The Palm. The crowd is consistently international and celebrity-adjacent, with Kendall Jenner and Ronan Keating among recent noted guests. The venue suits both composed dinners and larger celebrations, with private dining configurations available for groups. Reservations are essential well in advance for preferred seating on evenings and weekends.
The menu covers the full Nobu signature range alongside Dubai-specific creations and Arabian-influenced preparations. Signature dishes include Black Cod Miso, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Yellowtail Jalapeño, whitefish sashimi in light yuzu sauce, seared Wagyu beef, and a full sushi and sashimi bar. A dedicated business lunch format is available during midweek service. The sake program is extensive, with multiple grades from Daiginjo to Junmai available by the glass and bottle. The cocktail list covers Nobu signature preparations alongside seasonal specials.
