Restaurant Sa Caleta has been operating on the beach of Es Bol Nou since June 1988, run by the Pujolet-Cardona family across three generations. The venue sits between the ochre clay cliffs of Sa Caleta and the sea, a few metres from the local fishing port. The kitchen sources daily from two local fishing boats, the Cap Alt and El Jurel, and from the family's own organic farm at Can Puvil. The menu has remained unchanged since opening, built on traditional Ibizan recipes passed down through the family. The restaurant holds 80 covers inside and 80 on the terrace, with a garden chill-out area among pines and sabines available in summer.
The interior is built from wood with a maritime decor rooted in the family's fishing history. The terrace opens directly onto the beach and the clay cliffs frame the setting on both sides. The pace is unhurried and the format is traditional. The garden space offers a separate environment for after-lunch cocktails and events. The crowd is a mix of long-standing regulars, Ibiza residents, and visitors who seek out the venue specifically for its local culinary character.
The menu specialises in fresh fish and seafood from the surrounding waters, alongside traditional Ibizan rice dishes. Standouts include bullit de peix, lobster stew, lobster with garlic and fried eggs, espardenyes, grilled gamba roja, calamar de potera, and baked dentex and mero. Vegetables and herbs come from the family farm. The wine list covers Ibizan labels. The meal closes with the Café Caleta, a signature after-dinner drink made with brandy, sugar, orange, lemon, and cinnamon, a recipe invented by founder Pep Pujolet in the 1950s and now widely imitated across the island.
