The Surf Club Restaurant operates inside the historic Surf Club property at 9011 Collins Avenue, Surfside, now part of the Four Seasons. It is Thomas Keller's first Florida venture and holds one Michelin star in the 2025 Michelin Guide USA. The kitchen runs a Continental menu, applying Keller's standards to a set of classic dishes that have defined the restaurant since opening. Dinner service runs nightly.
The property dates to 1930 and carried a membership list that included Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill. The dining room preserves that history through original murals and Art Deco detailing, with plush banquettes, amber lighting, and a handsome vintage bar. The Banyan Room, a glass-enclosed space adjacent to the main dining room, offers a brighter and slightly less formal setting. The bar area hosts live jazz most evenings. The overall atmosphere is calm, unhurried, and consistent with a venue that has operated at this level for decades.
The à la carte menu is built around Continental classics executed with precision: Beef Wellington, Lobster Thermidor, True Ribeye, Roasted Chicken for Two, Avocado Louie, and tableside Caesar Salad. Desserts include Lemon Meringue Tart and Coconut Cake. The beverage program was designed by Michel Couvreux, Beverage Director for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, with an extensive wine list spanning old-world and new-world regions. Service is formal and structured, consistent with Keller's broader restaurant standards.
