La Zebra operates as the main restaurant of the La Zebra beachfront hotel on Carretera Boca Paila, running three full services daily directly facing the Caribbean Sea. The kitchen is led by Chef Eleazar Bonilla, whose menu is built around authentic regional Mexican cooking, sourcing ingredients from across the country and from the hotel's own organic garden. Tortillas and salsas are made by hand daily. A Chef's Table experience with an eight-course tasting menu is available for up to eight guests, offering a more structured culinary journey through Mexico's regional flavors.
The dining room sits under an open-beam palapa roof with direct views of the beach and sea. The format is casual and unhurried, with seating that transitions naturally from morning through dinner. Weekly programming adds a consistent rhythm to the venue: Taco Thursday runs with live music and regional garnachas, Mulberry Project operates a bespoke cocktail pop-up on Tuesdays, Get Grilled takes place on Saturdays, and a Local Market runs on Sundays. The atmosphere is family-friendly and accessible without losing the quality of the kitchen.
The menu evolves from day to night, with breakfast featuring Mexican classics and coastal options, lunch running ceviches, tacos, and beach-side fare, and dinner presenting a more developed selection of regional dishes. Seafood is sourced daily. The cocktail program is led by the Mulberry Project team, working with mezcal, tequila, and local spirits. Gluten-free and vegan options are available. Service is warm and consistent across all three services.
