Mi Amor operates as the restaurant of the Mi Amor boutique hotel, positioned on an elevated clifftop directly above the Caribbean Sea within Tulum's protected natural area. The kitchen runs a contemporary Mexican menu inspired by the coastal regions of Mexico, working with fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and native herbs. The cocktail program is developed by Jasper Soffer of the Mulberry Project, the same team behind La Zebra's acclaimed bar operation. The restaurant is adults only and runs three full services daily, from breakfast through dinner.
The dining space sits above the sea, with tables positioned at the cliff edge offering direct views of the Caribbean. At night, candlelight and the sound of waves define the setting. The format is intimate and unhurried, designed for couples and small groups rather than high-energy dining. Private dining on the rocks is available for special occasions with prior coordination. A daily happy hour runs from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with 2x1 cocktails, and weekend mornings run 2x1 mimosas during brunch service.
The menu covers coastal Mexican cuisine with contemporary technique. Standout dishes include octopus, guacamole, fresh seafood preparations, and Japanese-style pancakes at breakfast. Brunch runs daily from noon to 6:00 PM with a broader selection including tacos, salads, and craft cocktails. The dinner menu is more refined, with the setting shifting to candlelit and more composed service. Vegan options are available. Private dinners on the rocks can be arranged directly with the venue.
